Building A Career In Health Care

A Panel Discussion from the DC Alumni Career Development Committee

Cost: Free
EVENT REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED: If you would like to add your name to the waitlist, please do so on the righthand side of this page.

The health care industry is in flux. In the face of rising costs and disparities around quality of care, health care leaders and government officials have initiated perhaps the most significant transformation in the industry’s history through the Affordable Care Act. For tenured leaders and young professionals alike, this change opens exciting new opportunities but also carries unexpected challenges. Depending on a person’s entry point into health care—as a physician, a scientist, a business consultant, a lawyer, or government administrator—the road ahead will be unique and untrodden.

This event’s panelists have taken diverse paths to develop successful careers in their chosen professions, often crossing multiple sectors and functions within this multifaceted industry. They will share their experiences of building their early careers and offer their insights into how Alumni can best navigate a rapidly changing health care landscape.
