Join the UChicago Association of Black Alumni and the Capital Area Food Bank to help expand access to good, healthy food in the greater Washington area. This project typically involves packing and/or sorting donated food for various CAFB programs as well as assisting with other tasks needed.

Parking is available at the Capital Area Food Bank. The closest metro station is Brookland/CUA Metro, which is accessible on the red line. A CAFB shuttle van will pick up volunteers from the Brookland/CUA Metro Station Monday through Saturday at 8:45am for the 9am-12pm shift. The shuttle van will be near the elevator on the 10th street side of the metro station where other shuttle buses/vans are servicing the metro station and will have a Capital Area Food Bank sign in the front window. If you do not see the shuttle van upon arrival or if you are running late, please call to request a ride. Return shuttle service will also be provided at the end of each shift.
